Bhote Kosi - 2 days. Grade 4 -5
Tumbling from the snow capped mountains of Tibet is Nepals rafting jewel - the Bhote Kosi. Rafting on the Bhote Kosi is a full body experience, with much more involved than simply paddling forward and backward. One of the most common paddle commands on the Bhote Kosi is "hold on!" as you jump inside and cling on as the raft is left to the mercy of the thundering rapids.
During low flows (December - April) the Bhote Kosi is a classic grade 4 + run on a steep mountain river. When the mountain snow melts, monsoon season kicks in and water levels rise (May - Sep), the Bhote Kosi becomes a solid class 5 river, requiring a serious commitment from all team members. This is not for the faint hearted.
Tri Suli. 1 or 2 days available. Grade 3 - 4
A much more genteel rafting experience. The Tri Suli is the perfect rafting trip for anyone with a more cautious outlook.
There are plenty rapids, guaranteed to get anyones pulse racing. Although they are more playfull than burley, it may be impossible to contain the squeals of delight as you tumble through them.
Conversley, there are also chances to simply lie back and enjoy the stunning scenery. You will drift past rural villages and witness life by the river as families catch fish, bathe and wash clothes, whilst the children get on with the important task of playing with friends!
All our trips include food, accommodation, and transport to and from the rafting locations.
“This is by far the best rafting experience I’ve ever had! The rapids were immense but the professionalism of the guides saw everyone through them expertly, so even the newbies weren’t shaken. Camping by the river was something else too. Great food, great company, great outdoors. I loved this trip”
